I made a night trip last week.The smaller blues(1-3lb) are biting very well right now. I think I'm done with the lake personaly.I've always heard the thieves were bad around there and on this last trip I caught someone who I thought was a friend stealing my jugs...kinda hurt I know for a fact he knew whose jugs he was stealing.Its left a bad taste in my mouth,and I'll probably find someplace else to fish.I know it happens everywhere but it seems to be part of the culture around the Lake Houston/Sheldon area.

Edit,Forgot an important part of the story :Someone also stole the light off my canoe while I was dealing with the first thief(just getting my equipment back).

Wow, big john, thats awful! I only go during the day. Dont got no lites on my yak. Its terrible that (some) people steal. I havent got took yet @ the 1960 marina.

we are planning to give it a shot tonight after the sum goes down...maybe a little cooler. Thanks for the heads up Big John, I had no idea we had a problem out there, but I will definitely keep an eye on things a little closer. I hate a **** thief

That was the first time I'd talked about it and I was still a little worked up. There are a lot of good people out there and a few that have helped me quite a bit .It bothered me more that it was someone I knew and had helped in the past and getting stolen from a second time in one night after that just set me off.There is a problem out there but it still a great place to fish with a lot of helpful friendly people. I'll be back.

BTW: If you are going down this weekend you might want to avoid the Deussen park area Sunday morning there is a triathlon running that day.
