Anyone know what windy point park is like now? At lake travis.

I got certified there about 7yrs ago and haven't been back but I remember it was cold, viz sucked, but it was fun to explore the sunken sailboat and whatnot at about 100' (at the time)...also to see the monster fish come out of nowhere when you open up a can of vienna sausages.

I'd definitely get comfortable on the lakes before going true open water. It's another animal. My first rig dive I made right after getting certified, in 4-6' seas, terrible viz...it was not a good experience...was safe but I would have definitely enjoyed it more having had more experience underwater.

Best of luck...I sure wish I can get to dive more in the years to come!

Nothing has changed at windy point besides the 60' walk down to the water
