Thumbs up I get by with a little help from my friends

This is a good story, Dennis, Piper Pacer on 2cool, and his dad, John went out fishing on The Mighty Red-Fin, and caught some very nice fish.

Dennis is pretty new to 2cool and went to the last fish fry we had with his wife and Anthony and his wife of The 3 Stooges fame.

When he made the rounds and got over by me he started telling me a fishing story.
About baiting a rod and turning around and then the,...I said I can finish this story, a fish jerked your rod over!

He laughed and kind of nodded, knowing it was pretty evident what had happened.
And then I said, "I caught it yesterday and have it at home." LOL!
BTW, it was in great shape when I pulled it up, it had only been in the water a short while.
I think we baited it and put it out!

Sure enough it was his and he came and retrieved it at Beacon's early one morning, and later he posted about how he would fix the crack on the bow of The Mighty Red-Fin as a return favor.

Today he came through and fixed the old girl up with a cool manicure over some old cracks and scrapes.

Now that is a 2cool friend,

Many thanks Piper Pacer!

Cool story.... I agree, lots of good people on this site!

By the way, I lost a rod on the RB about 2 weeks ago.. popped out of my boat when a catfish got tangled up in my net and rod. AllStar Classic with a jiggin spoon rigged on it... I tried to grab it before it sank, but there was too much gear in my way, doh!!!

SS, if you find it, I'll trade you some computer work for your efforts... ...

I need to rig something up and spend some time dragging the area next time I'm up when the bite is slow.

Dennis and his dad came with us on a striper trip, they did pretty good too, catching 13, keeping a limit of 10 nice ones.
So no pot licking involved, but he did do a fly over a couple of days before and I thought it was pretty funny.
dbullard a guy had your rod and was coming up with it, but it didn't make it to the top, maybe tomorrow?
