IE will not open??

I have a Dell Latitude that has been running great for years, but suddenly will not open IE. It will start for a sec then give error saying there was error and had to close. It was able to install and run Firefox no problem. I've dome everything I can to re-install, un-install, but no luck. Any ideas?
