Directv Hookup

I sure hope I am in the right place to ask for help with this.
I have 4 Directv recievers in my home, and I bought a Directv slimline satellite dish and a tripod to use in my RV when I am on the road.
I was told that all I had to do was to take one of the recievers and it's remote control to my RV, connect it to the dish that has a clear view of the Southern sky, and pretty much dial it in from there. Well....it ain't working so good, and I need some help.
I thought that if any Directv techs that lived in my area could come by and set it up for me and show me how to do it would be the best thing to do. As far as that goes, just anyone that knows how to do it will be fine. I will be happy to pay for your time and trouble.
I am in the Garland/Rowlett area just outside of Dallas.
Thanks

Tinman
