Pretty in purple

This is my latest toy.
I call him Vlad.

How do you build a purple themed gaff without it looking like a mardis gra wand?

6ft Gaff blank
4" s/s hook.
Barramundi skin wrap
Skeleton fish is a hat pin
Skulls are charms
I like a gimble on them so I can stick it in a rod holder at the ready without the hook swinging around.
I fish alone a lot so digging nets and gaffs out of hiding places with an angry spanish mackerel on the end of the line is not an option.
Tiger is light purple, black & white under with dark purple over.
Doesn't show in the photo's but I put various colour glitter on the base before the epoxy and top layer.
Looks pretty cool in the sunlight. In a totally non gay way of course!

Now that's a gaff. I really like all the different skills involved in the build.

Lorda-mercy... I'd hate to be a spanish mackerel down under! That's just plain wicked looking. Very nice!!! The gimbal is a nice touch too!!

The "business end" is totally non-gay, but all that purple.... J/K! Awesome job, Owen. I guess including a weave would have been too over the top? Ha! The gimbal is a great idea.

Sweet looking to me. I think all the skulls and skelton's pretty much make it not gay. Plus it's a gaff made to hook huge fish and haul them aboard and i know thats not gay so sweet looking Gaff sure beats my plain one.
