11-4 Freeport Marsh Yak Fish
well didnt decide to go fish until about 9am so it was 10:45 before i could get the yak in the water, slipped in and made a 15 min paddle through the marsh , was looking for flounder (this spot has been great in the cooler weather for flounder ) anyways water was off color and the the tide was out , couldnt find a flattie but had a limit of reds in the first 15 minutes .., kept the first three keepers 25" 26" 27" ,,moved down a little further and nothin but reds , made two more moves and the same thing, tide came up and tried the first spot again, same thing all reds, so headed back and got out around 1pm .. were 5 or 6 boats around and only saw one really catch anything , and 2 waders that had nothin ....majority of fish caught on live shrimp under a rattlin thunder, couple on a black shedog, and couple more on 3" gulp pogey bounced on the bottom... all caught around oyster reefs in 1'-2" water .... 3 kept , 13 other keepers released along with 20 or so other 15-19" rats..
