I use a split ring attached to a ball bearing swivel on my norton jig heads... i guess that solves the line slipping problem and twists.....

You can buy Hogie jig heads with Gamakatsu hooks. They are the spring jig heads. I believe the website is hogielures.com. The jigheads are 65 cents a piece, which quite a bit cheaper than buying a package of 3 or 4 for $3.25. Dusty Rhodes is a nice fellow and will take great care of you.

I have used Hogie jigheads for a long time and have never had a failure of any kind. Dusty Rhodes is a great guy and will take very good care of all of your lure needs.

I've used the Norton Screwlock's for years. Never had a problem. As a matter of fact I have never had a fish break off; had'em spit the hook, but not break me. I do use a 20lb fluorocarbon shock leader attached via a barrel swivel. Maybe I just always catch dinks...............

Hogie and Norton don't make the hooks. Stands to reason if they are both using the same Gamakatsu hook they could both have that happen.

I have never had that happen, never heard of it happening until now.
