Laguna Texas Wader Rods

I have seen a lot of stuff on this board about the Laguna Texas Wader. After seeing one in person, I am sold. I will likely place my order soon. My question is: What is the difference between the Texas Wader I, Texas Wader II and Texas Wader III? The website makes no mention of this differentiation. Thanks.

The texas wader I means you catch one limit, The texas wader 2 means you catch 2 limits and the wader 3 means you limit out on trouts, reds and flounders. That is what they told me and convinced me to buy the number 3-just ask jode or danny-wink wink. Maybe they saw my aggie hat and thought that was the easiest way to sell them to me. Whatever, it worked as I bought 2 of them and my brother bought 1.

The Texas wader 2 is a little stiffer than the Texas wader. The wader 2 is better suited for throwing bigger topwaters if that is what you mainly throw. The Texas wader is capable of throwing larger topwaters such as full size spooks, but if you are going to be throwing big topwaters all day then the wader 2 is probably a better rod for that application. No matter which one of the 2 rods you chose they are both super light, incredibly sensitive and made one at a time. Both rods work well for both soft plastics and corkies. Hope this helps.

The Texas wader 3 is still a proto-type and has yet to hit the market. It has been called a "wet noodle", very whippy. The least stiff of all the rods, best suited for mainly fishing soft plastics.

I will ditto what Havens said on both rods , I recently purchased 3 @ the boat show. I was impressed with the Guarantee and Jode. I, like many others have fished MANY rods, IMO they are the cats meow. I find use for both, the Wader 1 & 2. If I had to pick just one it would be the Wader 1. Both have their places !!!

Hell yeah... I just drove 2 **** hours to the shop to pick mine up to fish with it this weekend... Danny told me it was ready yesterday so I headed north to get it.. i got the Topwater Light 6' 9" with Recoil eyelets except for the last one I had that one replaced with a fuji.

How much do those rods run? I have heard a lot about them and am very interested in getting one. Another thing can anyone explain the recoil eyelet?

Recoil guides are made from a special nickel titanium alloy which won't corrode and returns or "recoils" to its original shape after repeated deformations.

First I want to apologize for the website not being updated yet with the TWII, it should be done hopefully by this weekend.

What Havens said is exactly on the money, the TWI is more of an all around rod and the TWII is primarily for throwing your tops and Corkies, however some of our Pro Team throw soft plastics with it too.

Our TWIII is still in R&D but we are getting close on it, it will be a soft plastics rod primarily, however one of our R&D guys, Randall Groves throws his whole dang aresenal with it.

So after saying all of that you might be confused, come see us at the Holder Show the first weekend of March and we will have the whole line up for you to put in your hands!
