Need a Core 100MG Sideplate

After having my Shimano Core 100MG for 2 years without a noticable scratch, my buddy opened the hatch to his suv and one of my rod/reel slid out and hit the cement curve. Now it has cement burn on almost the entire sideplate. I called a Shimano repair center in Corpus and they quoted me 100.00 for the sideplate. Please send me a PM if anyone can get better pricing on a new sideplate. I must have OCD because I cant stand seeing her with scratches all over her. She has pulled many a nice trout in the last 2 years.

Part Info: BNT Side Frame Plate 3839

Thanks,

Manuel

Here's Southwest parts..It costs 87.03 plus $5 shipping.

http://www.southwesternparts.com/

Correct part number is BNT3842. The 3839 is the Side Frame Plate that insets for the Brake Case.

X2 on the reel covers. $2.00 per cover at FTU Fishing Show.
After thought is always 20/20. Good luck!

Need a Core 100MG Sideplate

"Covers" unfortunately don’t work when they are in your jacket pocket. Looks like I’m going to put her in the classifieds and see if i can get near 200.00. Scratches aren’t too bad, but they are bad to me. Maybe a good fit for a freshwater fisherman. Ill post pics later tonight.

You could always seal the scratches with some clear nail polish.
